: The mysterious character Amber from the « Liveship traders trilogy » by Robin Hobb. I drew this one while waiting for the first book of the new Fitz and the Fool trilogy, and had the opportunity to give a copy to Robin Hobb in person when she came to visit France to launch the book, it was amazing ! Tools : Pencil 2B for linework, Paint Tool Sai for colors and additional accessorizes.

Some drawings using Paint Tool Saï and photoshop in a digital watercolor style.

The goal was to practice drawing digitaly but with a traditionnal look, so that it looks like a true watercolor on paper. It was very interesting to apply what I’ve learned at watercolor classes on a digital media.

: Practicing doing the lineart on paint tool sai instead of using pencil. It is more time consuming but I like the clean aspect ! Trying a water color rendering on Paint tool sai I used a picture by the talented Miobi as a reference : miobi.deviantart.com/
